Compound Interest Calculator (“the site”) is operated by Pond Software. This policy explains, in plain English, what data the site collects and why. The short version: the calculators run entirely in your browser, we don't ask you to create an account, and we never sell your personal information.

The numbers you enter

Every calculator on this site runs locally in your browser. The balances, contributions, rates, and other figures you type are used to compute a result on your device and are notsent to us or stored on a server. Close the tab and they're gone.

Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are useful and how people find the site. It sets cookies and collects standard measurement data — pages viewed, approximate location (from your IP address, which Google truncates), device and browser type, and referring links. This is aggregate, statistical usage data; we use it to decide which calculators to build and improve, not to identify you.

Google processes this data as described in its own privacy policy. You can opt out across all sites with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Affiliate links

Some pages link to books and products through the Amazon Associates program. If you click one of these links and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Advertising

The site may display ads served by third-party ad networks, such as Google AdSense. If and when ads are shown, these networks may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including — where permitted — personalized ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies is governed by its advertising policies, and you can manage ad personalization in Google's Ad Center. You can also opt out of personalized advertising from many vendors at aboutads.info.

Cookies

The cookies on this site come from the third-party services above — analytics and, where present, advertising and affiliate attribution. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the calculators will still work, since they don't rely on cookies.

We don't sell your data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We don't maintain a mailing list or a user database, because the site doesn't collect personal accounts in the first place. The only data sharing that happens is with the analytics, advertising, and affiliate providers named above, and only so those services can function.

Your choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access or delete personal data, or to opt out of certain data uses. Because we hold no personal accounts, most of these choices are exercised through the browser and third-party controls linked above. Children's privacy

This site is intended for a general, adult audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves — for example, if we add a new advertising or analytics provider. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date.
